Lee Jae-yul, former First Deputy Governor for Administrative Affairs of Gyeonggi Province, was appointed as the new CEO of KINTEX.

According to KINTEX on the 26th, KINTEX held an extraordinary shareholders' meeting on the 23rd and appointed Lee Jae-yul, former vice governor of the province's first administrative branch, as the CEO, who was dismissed after former CEO Lee Hwa-young was arrested on charges of bribery of both sides.

Kim Hwan-geun, former full-time vice chairman of the Korea Robot Industry Association, was appointed as the vice president of management, while Ryu Jae-won, former head of the trade investment data division at KOTRA, was appointed as the vice president of the business division. The term of office of the new CEO and two vice presidents is three years until December 25, 2025.

CEO Lee began his public career with the 30th administrative examination, served as the head of the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Planning and Coordination, the chief secretary for policy coordination of the President, and the disaster safety secretary of the office of the chief secretary for policy coordination, and served as the first deputy governor of Gyeonggi Province's administrative department from 2015 to 2018.
